    Summer Enrichment Teacher (1st/2nd Grade) – 2025 Summer Enrichment Comprehensive Learning Services – Hyde Park, Chicago

    Position: Summer Teacher (1st/2nd Grade) Program Dates: June 23 – August 1, 2025 (Monday – Friday) Hours: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM Compensation: $200/day

    About Us: Comprehensive Learning Services, a comprehensive child therapy center on Chicago’s South Side, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Summer Enrichment Teacher to lead engaging and developmentally appropriate learning experiences for our 1st and 2nd grade students during our 2025 Summer Enrichment Program.

    Position Overview: The Summer Teacher will implement a structured yet fun curriculum that supports academic growth, social-emotional development, and a love of learning. This position is ideal for an educator who is passionate about early childhood learning, differentiation, and hands-on, interactive instruction in a small-group setting.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Plan and deliver engaging, structured lessons in literacy, math, and enrichment subjects.

    Differentiate instruction to accommodate various learning needs and styles.

    Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.

    Integrate play-based and hands-on learning activities.

    Monitor student progress and provide meaningful feedback to support growth.

    Collaborate with staff to ensure a cohesive and enriching summer experience for all students.

    Maintain classroom management strategies that promote respect, responsibility, and engagement.

    Communicate with families as needed to support student success.

    Qualifications:

    Master’s degree required (Education or related field).

    Degree in Education (Special Education, LBS1, Early Childhood, Elementary, or related field preferred).

    Teaching experience required (preferably with early elementary students).

    Strong classroom management skills and ability to differentiate instruction.

    Passion for early childhood education and fostering student confidence.
