Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Repair Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of fitness equipment repair, troubleshooting, and maintenance. As a Senior Technician, you will be responsible for leading repair efforts, mentoring junior technicians, and ensuring the smooth operation of all fitness equipment with our customers. Your expertise will be pivotal in maintaining the highest quality standards for the equipment used by our clients and the experience they receive.
Hours - 8a-4p
Days - Monday - Friday
Base Salary - $25-$27 Starting, based on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on a wide range of fitness equipment including treadmills, elliptical, exercise bikes, strength training machines, and more. All major brands - Precor, Lifefitness, Matrix, Nordic Track, Technogym, Startrac, Stairmaster etc.
Lead and oversee the repair and maintenance team, ensuring effective training, task delegation, and completion of service requests.
Diagnose and identify issues with equipment, utilizing diagnostic tools and manual procedures.
Provide technical support and guidance to junior technicians in the field.
Document all service activities, including repairs, replacements, and maintenance tasks, in a timely and accurate manner in our dispatching software.
Stay up-to-date with the latest technology and trends in fitness equipment to ensure expertise in all product lines.
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree or technical certification in electronics or mechanical systems preferred).
2+ years of experience in the repair and maintenance of fitness equipment.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems in machines.
Proven experience with tools, diagnostic equipment, and repair techniques.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex equipment issues.
Strong leadership abilities.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Physical ability to lift, move, and repair heavy equipment as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with fitness equipment brands and models.
Certifications in fitness equipment repair or electronics.
Familiarity with the fitness industry.
