    This Assistant Sales Manager helps fuel CycleBar’s energetic experience to build the sales pipeline and a strong membership community. This role’s responsibilities include actions such as building the capability of the sales/customer experience team to meet studio sales/service goals, assisting with the operation of the studio, and ensuring members’ needs are met.

    This role also has advancement potential for a General Manager role in the future.

    Note on work hours and pay: Hours are 25-35 a week based on business needs, aligned with team member staffing and sales opportunities (see the studio's hours of operation for overall hours). For weekends, the expectation is that the Assistant GM is available most weekends (mornings through midday). Pay is a combination of base and commission, with an opportunity for additional bonuses.

    Duties

    Lead generation: Strategically engage in prospecting to generate leads for the studio (e.g., grassroots events, engaging with business partners, promoting the studio at community events, as well as actively reaching out to new potential members, managing in-club leads (first-time riders), and securing member referrals.

    Lead management: Drive the process to convert leads to members.

    Membership and rider relations: Build rapport and lasting relationships with all members; create an engaging experience and environment that retains members and generates referrals, and handle all rider concerns promptly and with a positive, solutions-focused attitude.

    Data Analysis: Analyzing reports to aid the studio manager and owner in making informed business decisions, as well as proactively identifying emerging trends/issues.

    Training and Coaching Staff: Work with new team members to orient them to studio processes, as well as coach other staff members in continuously building their skills.

    Operations: Assist with maintaining a clean, organized studio, ensuring all technology and equipment are in working order, and managing the inventory of retail products and supplies.

    Requirements:

    3+ years of sales experience required (Fitness sales with lead generation experience preferred)

    1+ year of experience leading a sales team, including the training and mentoring of staff to contribute to the sales and client experience.

    Persuasive and engaging communication/interpersonal skills, verbally and in writing.

    Adaptable; able to recognize areas of improvement and make changes to continuously improve sales, the operation, and the client experience.

    Ability to excel in a fast-moving, changing environment; maintaining a positive attitude and promoting others to do the same.

    Highly organized with an ability to create execution plans aligned to quarterly goals, and then prioritize/execute to meet those goals.

    Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

    Trustworthy and responsible; able to manage confidential information appropriately.

    Ability to train and lead others in a way that promotes teamwork, connection, and excitement with co-workers, clients, and the public.
