Job Summary: The Fixed Assets (FA) Accounting Supervisor will lead and work closely with the Fixed Asset Accountants in the preparation, maintenance and reconciliation of fixed asset accounts on a daily basis. In this role you will assist in efforts to create and build a centralized FA function through implementation and ongoing utilization of a FA sub ledger system. In addition, the ideal candidate will work closely with the FA team and Accounting Department leaders and support each line of business to anticipate and promptly respond to assigned financial accounting and reporting needs, while ensuring all policies and procedures are followed.

Responsibilities:
Ensure timely completion of fixed asset tasks for monthly accounting close in collaboration with corporate and business finance teams
Record asset acquisitions, dispositions, sales proceeds, and depreciation in the FA sub-ledger system, preparing journal entries as needed
Track and close project cost accounts upon completion.
Prepare and analyze fixed asset reports, reconciling variances between the general ledger and FA sub-ledger
Conduct periodic asset reviews to determine dispositions
Collaborate with departments to track project costs against budgets and assist with budget preparation.
Maintain and improve internal financial controls
Assist with system updates, testing, audits, and regulatory examinations
Perform ad hoc analyses and other assigned tasks
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, accounting, or finance preferred
3+ years of experience in fixed asset accounting; supervision of a team preferred
Experience with ERP fixed asset systems; Sage X3 is a plus
Ability to work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision
Must be able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; advanced level with MS Excel, financial software, and custom applications
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
Professional communication, interpersonal and follow up skills
