Job Summary

zTrip Fixed Route Drivers are responsible for safely, courteously, and efficiently transporting passengers between all stops on their designated routes.

Key Responsibilities of a Fixed Route Driver:

• Provide safe, reliable, friendly, and high-quality transportation services.
• Maintain punctuality and dependability in meeting scheduled work hours and route requirements.
• Perform thorough vehicle inspections, follow proper driving practices, and ensure the vehicle is clean and properly maintained.
• Comply with the Americans With Disabilities Act, ensuring the rights of passengers are upheld.
• Handle financial transactions, including cash, and maintain accurate paperwork related to each transaction.
• Assist passengers with entering and exiting vehicles as needed.
• Offer information about bus routes and schedules, and communicate professionally with passengers and employees.
• Contribute suggestions to improve operations.
• Distribute information and brochures to customers and potential passengers.
• Notify the manager in advance of any time-off requests.
• Regularly enter and exit vehicles in varying weather and temperature conditions, including both day and night shifts, and in wet, icy, or snowy conditions.
• Lift up to 50 pounds (and occasionally more) into and out of vehicles, or onto and off bike racks, using proper lifting techniques.
