Job Summary of a Fixed Route Driver:

As a zTrip Fixed Route Driver, you will be responsible for safely, courteously, and efficiently transporting passengers along designated routes.

Key Responsibilities of a Fixed Route Driver:

• Provide exceptional transportation services : Ensure safe, reliable, friendly, and high-quality service for all passengers.
• Maintain punctuality and dependability : Adhere to scheduled work hours and route requirements.
• Perform vehicle inspections : Conduct thorough checks, follow proper driving practices, and keep the vehicle clean and well-maintained.
• Comply with ADA regulations : Uphold the rights of passengers under the Americans With Disabilities Act.
• Handle financial transactions : Manage cash transactions and maintain accurate paperwork.
• Assist passengers : Help passengers with boarding and exiting the vehicle as needed.
• Offer route information : Provide details about bus routes and schedules and communicate professionally with passengers and colleagues.
• Contribute to operations : Suggest improvements to enhance operations.
• Distribute information : Hand out brochures and information to customers and potential passengers.
• Manage time-off requests : Notify the manager in advance of any time-off needs.
• Adapt to varying conditions : Regularly enter and exit vehicles in different weather and temperature conditions, including day and night shifts, and in wet, icy, or snowy conditions.
• Lift heavy items : Safely lift up to 50 pounds (and occasionally more) into and out of vehicles, or onto and off bike racks, using proper lifting techniques.
