Position Overview
The Traffic Control Technician will safely and efficiently control the movement of vehicular traffic through construction projects to ensure safety.
Key Responsibilities (Duties & Functions)
Perform traffic control and flagging activities as needed.
Follow safety rules and regulations on all work zone and flagging sites, including but not limited to placing signs, traffic cones and other warning devices.
Use signs, hand signals and other mechanisms to communicate with motorists and co-workers.
Warn clients when approaching vehicle fails to heed signals to prevent accident and injury.
Coordinate with law enforcement personnel or other authorities when necessary
Maintain accurate records of traffic control activities
Miscellaneous tasks as assigned.
Skills & Specifications
Ability to follow verbal and written instruction.
Strictly adhere to safety requirements and procedures.
Must be able travel to job sites.
Must be flexible to work nights, weekends, and overtime when necessary.
Education/Professional Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent education
1 year of experience preferred but not required
Driver's License (Required)
