    Reporting directly to the fleet manager, the fleet mechanic will service and maintain our fleet of vehicles and equipment. This role includes troubleshooting vehicle issues, performing repairs, and routine inspections and maintenance. As a fleet mechanic, you will enjoy the autonomy to take ownership of your role and become an important member of our operation. You'll enjoy leadership support, resources at the dealership level, and the ability to work with mechanics at our other locations.


    Specific Responsibilities

    • The Fleet Mechanic position is responsible for preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of fleet vehicles and equipment as assigned.
    • Provide daily routine inspections of vehicles and inform the manager of any issues.
    • Perform and document all phases of vehicle diagnostics, maintenance and repair.
    • Maintain communication with drivers and management regarding maintenance and service of vehicles and equipment.
    • Perform preventative maintenance to the fleet.
    • Workflow -- Daily Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR) and US DOT requirements for commercial vehicles.
    • Adhere to company work safety policies.


    Requirements

    • Be able to work in a fast-paced environment & multi-task.
    • Occasional traveling to other work sites.
    • 3+ years of hands-on experience as a mechanic.
    • Ability to lift parts and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
    • Must have own set of personal tools.
    • California driver’s license and clean driving record required.
    • Excellent verbal communication skills.


    Hours and Pay

    • Monday through Friday; weekends as needed and opportunities for overtime available.
    • $32 per hour
