    Fleet Technician

In this exciting role, you will be at the forefront of maintaining our fleet of vehicles that are essential for keeping roadways safe and efficient.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of company vehicles, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake repairs.
    • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in vehicles and determine the appropriate repairs needed.
    • Perform repairs and maintenance, including engine and transmission work, electrical repairs, and brake and suspension repairs.
    • Maintain accurate records of vehicle repairs and maintenance activities, including parts used and labor hours.
    • Communicate with fleet management and supervisors regarding repair needs, maintenance schedules, and vehicle availability.
    • Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure that tools and equipment are properly maintained and stored.
    • Adhere to safety regulations and guidelines in performing all work activities.
    • Collaborate with other technicians and mechanics to share knowledge and expertise.
    • Keep up to date with new developments in automotive technology and make recommendations for improvements to fleet maintenance policies and procedures.

    Required Skills/Abilities:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent; completion of a trade school program in automotive technology is preferred.
    • Must be at least 25, have an acceptable MVR with valid drivers license
    • 2+ years of experience in automotive maintenance and repair.
    • ASE certification in one or more areas of automotive repair is preferred.
    • Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment, including computerized diagnostic equipment.
    • Knowledge of automotive systems and components, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and suspension systems.
    • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
    • Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.

    Physical Requirements

    • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
    • Comfortable working in various positions including standing, bending, and reaching.
    • Willingness to work in diverse weather conditions.
