Job Summary The WSS Fleet and Warehouse Manager is responsible for managing warehouse activities, including inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping logistics. Additionally, the role involves coordinating the maintenance of our vehicle fleet, ensuring adherence to safety standards and company policies.
Responsibilities
Manage daily warehouse activities, including receiving, inventory management, and shipping of telecommunications equipment and materials.
Optimize warehouse layout and processes for maximum efficiency.
Implement and maintain inventory control systems to minimize loss and improve accuracy.
Oversee the maintenance and repair of the company’s vehicles to ensure safety and reliability.
Monitor fuel usage and implement cost-saving measures.
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding fleet operations.
Develop and implement fleet policies and procedures.
Prepare reports on fleet performance, maintenance costs, and inventory levels.
Assist in budget preparation and cost control measures for fleet and warehouse operations.
Manage warehouse associates, monitoring work and ensuring the safe use of warehouse equipment.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, logistics, or a related field.
Proven experience in fleet management and warehouse operations, preferably in the telecommunications industry.
Must have strong advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Proficient in inventory management software.
Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards related to fleet and warehouse operations.
OSHA Forklift Training certificate is preferred.
Skills
Strong organizational and leadership skills.
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 70 lbs) and remain on your feet for extended periods.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Bilingual Spanish – English is a must.
