Job Description
SUMMARY:
The Benefits Coordinator will work collaboratively to assist the Human Resources Benefits Team with the day-to-day operations of the group benefits program for external employees.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provides support to the Benefits Team regarding processing employee benefit applications and inquiries.
- Assists with maintaining the benefits enrollment system and benefit changes and claims for employees.
- Compile various reports from Salesforce and Paycom as directed.
- Aid in the open enrollment process.
- Process support with unemployment claims and garnishment orders.
- Ensures accuracy and organization.
- Maintains integrity and confidentiality.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Experience with Salesforce and Paycom or similar HR software systems.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- One to two years of experience with medical benefits and the administration process.
- Possess strong organization skills and be very detail oriented.
- Ability to prioritize competing and inflexible deadlines.
- Strong written and oral English communication skills, and ability to interface with varying levels of people.
- Excellent Interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
- Thrive under pressure.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
- One to two years of relevant work experience.
- Experience with Salesforce and Paycom or similar HR software systems.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
This position will have no supervisory responsibilities.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones and printers.
