This position is an opportunity to work at the forefront of our company´s innovative usage of digital simulation within industrial and research environments. FlexCompute's CFD solver, Flow360, is the fastest CFD simulation tool available today. Flow360's speed allows automated design exploration and optimization to the simulation toolkit of every engineer allowing you to efficiently explore the entire design space instead of focusing on single-point design scenarios.
KEYWORDS: CFD, Simulation, Mechanical Engineer, Computational Fluid Dynamics
OVERVIEW
The Application Engineer is responsible for ensuring the technical success of our customers in their use of FlexCompute's software. Working closely with customers to understand their engineering and CFD workflows, the Application Engineer proposes solutions and best practices to help the client meet their objectives as well as improve their processes. The role includes performing a case study using Flow360, providing technical support and training to customers, drafting application notes and tutorials, contributing to business and product development. The position also works with the sales organization to discover opportunities to grow software usage within accounts and engage the customer to realize that growth.
Excellent communication skills and a desire to work with clients are critical to success in this fast-paced and broad engineering role. If you are creative, entrepreneurial, and possess excellent communication skills, we would like to hear from you.
The role will be based in our Boston, MA office. Our clients are working on a wide range of applications including conjugate heat transfer (CHT), fluid-structure interaction (FSI), combustion, and multiphase flows. We are also providing IT support to direct customers and cloud computing service providers covering a wide range of topics including installation, licensing remote display, and high-performance computing (HPC) cluster configurations.
This successful candidate is expected to have a strong background in CFD.
