Job Description: The Learning Experience – Clinton Hill (TLE – Clinton Hill) is seeking candidates for float teacher (six weeks - 3 year old) for our play-based early childhood development center in the Clinton Hill neighborhood of Brooklyn serving children from six weeks to five years of age.
Full-Time (35-40 hours a week) Staff Benefits:
20 hours of vacation days and 20 hours of sick pay by accrual after 90-day introductory period.

Principal Areas of Responsibility:
Work as a part time teacher as part of a high-expectations, high-achievement performance culture that integrates best practice from New York City, New York State, and The Learning Experience.
Encourage positive participation of students using enrichment and play-based activities to develop all aspects of their mental, physical, and social beings.
Co-teach alongside staff members to develop and execute creatively on lesson plans focusing on diversity, social, and emotional learning, along with enrichment, curriculum themes, indoor and outdoor play, combining the arts and hands-on experiences with supportive guidance from management.
Perform all duties related to childcare including potty training, diapering, feeding, cleaning, and nurturing.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management as per program needs.
Required Credentials:
High School Diploma
1-3 years experience as a teacher for children under six years old.
Familiarity with New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene Article 47 regulations.
Passionate and dedicated, honors and truly loves children for who they are.
Responsive to children's curiosity, wonder, and interests.
Life-long learners, looking for ways to improve their skill sets personally and professionally.
Effective classroom management skills while supporting children’s well-being.

Preferred Credentials:
New York State Teacher's Certification (Birth - 2nd or elementary), if applicable
Coursework or Degree in Early Childhood Education or Related Field
