Client Overview Our client is a leading national construction firm specializing in large-scale projects, with significant data center operations in both Ashburn and Manassas, VA.
Position Overview We are seeking a highly qualified Floating Site Training Manager to provide flexible coverage across our project sites in Ashburn and Manassas, VA. The ideal candidate will serve as primary Saturday coverage at our Ashburn location while providing backup coverage and support across both locations during the week. This dynamic role requires extensive experience in construction safety management and the ability to adapt to different site environments.
Key Responsibilities
Provide primary Saturday coverage at Ashburn location
Cover planned PTO and scheduled absences during weekdays at both locations
Respond to emergency coverage needs across both sites
Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards
Identify potential hazards and implement preventive measures
Maintain accurate safety records and documentation
Support training initiatives and program implementation
Ensure consistency in safety protocols across locations
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Safety Manager
Demonstrated experience working with and around heavy equipment
OSHA 510 certification required
OSHA 30 certification required
EM 385-1-1 certification required
Strong knowledge of construction safety practices and OSHA regulations
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Ability to work flexible hours and travel between sites
Project Details
Primary Location: Ashburn, VA (Saturdays)
Secondary Location: Manassas, VA (as needed)
Schedule: Primary Saturday coverage (5:30 AM - 1:30 PM) plus flexible weekday coverage
Project Duration: Long-term position
Start Date: Immediate
Compensation and Employment Type
Hourly Rate: $35-40 per hour, based on experience
Pay Schedule: Biweekly
Employment Type: 1099 (Independent Contractor)
Additional Benefits: Mileage reimbursement for travel between sites
