Job Summary:
Floor Supervisors are responsible for maximizing departmental sales and profitability, along with minimizing expenses. They also ensure that customer service is always the #1 focus. Floor Supervisors contribute to the growth and development of the store and the training of other store associates.
Responsibilities:
Provide exceptional customer service.
Maintain awareness of all promotions and advertisements.
Execute the daily operational, and day-to-day goals and priorities, and assign duties to the department team.
Accountable for assigned departmental integrity and continuous utilization of personnel.
Ensure the department is front, faced and the product is pulled down from top stock.
Ensure department floors, shelves, and overstocks are labeled, clean, and safe.
Assist in planning for sales and major holiday or promotional events (i.e. Father’s Day, Mother’s Day, etc.).
Assist in training and developing store staff with goals for growth and success in their departments.
Drive customer satisfaction by ensuring that all customers are acknowledged, customer needs are met, and concerns are resolved quickly.
Qualifications:
Ability to provide motivation and leadership to associates storewide in a fair and impartial manner.
Ability to stand for an extended period of time.
Able to walk, reach, and bend to perform job duties.
Move and handle merchandise and fixtures up to 40 pounds.
Strong leadership and analytical skills.
Excellent communication skills, high attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet the needs of the business.
