Beginner - $18-$20/hr (0-6 Months)
Basic Knowledge of Tools & Supplies
Knowledge of basic Application Methods
Jobsite Material Stocking & Moving Methods
Jobsite Cleanliness
Adhesive Removal Equipment & Methods
Installer I (Foundational) - $21-$24/hr (6 Months - 1 Year)
Basic Floor Prep (Patch, Saw Cuts)
Proper Adhesive Application
Ability to Operate Correctly all Hand Tools
Knowledge of all Jobsite Safety Protocols
Proper Installation of Base & Transition
Installer II (Intermediate) - $21 - $24/hr (1-2 Years)
Install Under Supervision
Consult with construction plans
Follow all health and safety regulations when operating equipment
Ensure regulated and proper headgear, earplugs, gloves, safety glasses, and clothing are worn
Complete all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner
Preparing the work surface by applying adhesive, grouting, or other appropriate materials.
Installer III (Advanced ) - $25 - $30/hr (1-3 Years)
Removing existing flooring and discarding of this material, if applicable.
Clearing the work surface from dust, debris, and obstructions.
Preparing the work surface by applying adhesive, grouting, or other appropriate materials.
Laying LVT, broadloom, tiles, and other types of flooring.
Ensuring that the flooring materials are well-positioned, secure, and clean.
Completing the installation by applying appropriate finishes.
Educating clients about suitable care for their floors.
Following safe procedures and encouraging clients to do the same, where applicable.
Teach & train Installer I & II on proper installation methods
Qualifications/Skills:
Good written and verbal communication skills
Strong sense of time organization and urgency
While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear and move up to 50 to 100 pounds.
Ability to be flexible to changing work conditions & assignments, work well with a team
Own tools of the trade:
Hand Tools: Tape Measure, Hammers, Grinders, Saws, Sanders, Chalk, etc.
Flooring Tools: Cutters, Carpet Stretchers, Knee Kickers, etc.
Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
Valid driver's license
