Job Title: Floral Sales Associate Company: Tropical Interiors Florist Location: Bradenton, FL 34207 Job Type: Full-Time (35–40 hours per week) Pay: $16.00–$18.00 per hour (based on experience)

Tropical Interiors Florist is a locally loved floral boutique serving the Bradenton, Lakewood Ranch, Longboat Key, and surrounding areas. We specialize in custom floral arrangements, plant designs, and exceptional customer experiences for all occasions—from weddings and funerals to birthdays and holidays. We are looking for a passionate and driven Floral Sales Associate to join our growing team and grow with us.

Position Summary:

As a Floral Sales Associate, you will be the welcoming face of Tropical Interiors Florist. You’ll play a key role in creating memorable customer experiences by assisting clients with floral selections, entering and managing orders in our POS system, and crafting beautiful arrangements aligned with our brand’s signature style. This is an exciting opportunity for a floral retail professional who’s ready to take their career to the next level.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet and assist customers with floral and plant selections for occasions like birthdays, anniversaries, funerals, and more.

Accurately process incoming orders via phone, walk-ins, and online using our Point-of-Sale (POS) system.

Ensure delivery and design details are properly entered into the POS system for smooth execution.

Create hand-tied bouquets, custom floral arrangements, and indoor plantings according to Tropical Interiors’ standards.

Answer product-related questions and make thoughtful recommendations to clients.

Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing retail space and merchandise displays.

Replenish stock and monitor inventory to ensure product freshness and availability.

Provide ongoing support with flower processing and daily plant care.

Handle customer concerns professionally and escalate issues to the Store Manager or Sales Team as needed.

Support the team in meeting sales goals, especially during peak holidays like Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, and Christmas.

Respond to event-related inquiries and coordinate follow-ups with the Sales Management Team.

Qualifications:

Experience:

Retail Sales: Minimum 2 years (Required)

Floral Design: 2 years preferred but not required

Experience using a POS system for order entry and transactions is strongly preferred

Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Work Ethic: Reliable, detail-oriented, and a team player with a positive attitude

Customer Focus: Friendly, approachable, and committed to delivering outstanding customer service

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to stand for extended periods

Must be able to lift and move up to 30 lbs.

Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed

Additional Requirements:

Must be at least 18 years of age

Authorization to work in the U.S.

Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English

Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening and background check
