Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Outside B2B and Government Sales Representative to expand our tool and hardware start-up's presence in the business-to-business (B2B) and government sectors. This role offers a unique opportunity to drive sales growth and build lasting partnerships with commercial clients and government agencies. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a strategic mindset, and a proven track record in B2B and government sales.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to prospect, cultivate, and close B2B clients.
Identify and target potential B2B customers, including contractors, construction companies, maintenance providers, and government agencies.
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing B2B clients and government accounts, understanding their unique needs and offering tailored solutions.
Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and potential target sectors.
Present and demonstrate our product offerings to potential clients, highlighting features and benefits.
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop sales collateral, proposals, and presentations for B2B and government clients.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to secure new accounts and maintain profitable partnerships.
Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to build brand awareness and generate leads.
Provide accurate sales forecasts and reports to management on a regular basis.
Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and relevant regulations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including the Retail Manager and Marketing team, to align strategies and initiatives.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product features, uses, and applications to effectively communicate with clients.
Travel to meet with clients and attend meetings as required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Proven experience in B2B sales, ideally within the tools, hardware, construction or related industries.
Familiarity with government procurement processes and requirements is a plus.
Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and quotas.
Self-motivated and results-driven with a proactive approach to sales.
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal teams.
Excellent presentation skills and the ability to articulate complex information.
Proficiency in using CRM systems and sales tracking tools.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel for client meetings and events.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions and client needs.
