Group Leader- Working with Adults with Disabilities Fontana Resources at Work - Fontana, CA $12 an hour Summary Group Leader Community Training Program Objective- will be responsible for assisting consumers in the achievement of established goals and objectives in a community based setting. Authority- Provide Direction, supervision and guidance to assigned consumers in their daily activities articulating expectations, displaying model behavior, maintaining open lines of communication and being clear about roles and relationships. Responsibilities * Engage each individual in daily activities to ensure attendance and participation * Maintain all records for your group including documenting daily progress toward individual service plan goals * Refer possible locations/sites for program activities to Program Coordinator for development * Conduct safety and other training meetings for assigned group on a monthly basis * Discuss behavior problems and situations with supervisor as they emerge, documenting on appropriate forms. * Resolve conflict within your group asking for assistance from supervisors when/as needed. * Conducts all activities in accordance with mission, vision, values and policies of the organization. * Make recommendations for individuals to Program Coordinator and Manager for consumers who are ready for a more independent form of support * Will participate in all meetings and trainings as assigned * Completes all SIRs and other reportings as required as mandated reporter or required by FRW/ISS Qualifications: Associates Degree in social, counseling, rehabilitation, or other social service field; or two years experience within a related field. Communicate effectively, verbally, by telephone and in writing. Must demonstrate the ability to meet the objectives of the job description. Must have a personable and professional attitude and able to work actively in a community setting without direct supervision. Must be highly organized and able to work with others, Must be able to respect confidentiality of information regarding consumers served and deal effectively with the needs of adults with disabilities.
