Job Description
As a vital member of the F&B team, the Coordinator is responsible for booking and managing the reservations of the restaurant including but not limited too, large party bookings of our private dining spaces, selling and taking In-Room Dining orders and fulfilling individualized requests of our resort guests. The ideal candidate will exude warmth, be outgoing, professional, and have a strong ability to multitask.
Ensure all guests feel welcome and are given responsive, professional, gracious service at all times.
Assisting guests with reservations by phone.
Control the flow of outlets to maximize seating without sacrificing guest experience.
Act as the primary point of contact for all large party dining inquiries, providing timely and personalized service to prospective clients.
Collaborate with restaurant managers and chefs to upsell pre-fixe menus to create exceptional dining experiences
Create internal Banquet Order Forms to effectively communicate with fellow team members and the Culinary team.
Accurately and quickly take and place orders for in-house guests and enter them into the POS system ensuring correct timing and billing.
Strive for upselling opportunities both in Tavern large party requests and in In-Room Dining
Relate with guests about needs and satisfaction with the beverage and drinks, ensuring a consistently caring and high-quality service
Maintains clean and organized workstations that are cohesive with the restaurant's philosophy, culture and standards of excellence.
Act as an ambassador for Mattei’s Tavern by networking and speaking about our private dining spaces, special events and promotions within the community
Assist the Food & Beverage Managers in other tasks included but not limited to, ordering supplies, creating and printing menus and organizing storage spaces.
Qualifications
Must be able to communicate in English fluently and in a professional manner
Exhibit phone etiquette, organizational skills, basic computer knowledge (incl. reservations management system) and food/wine service knowledge.
Requires the ability to multitask, work efficiently and within a team environment.
Must be available to work full-time hours on all shifts to include day, swing, weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
Must be able to obtain and maintain any licensing or certifications required by a F&B position.
Responsible Beverage certification.
ServSafe certification or equivalent.
One year work experience as a host/hostess in a comparable setting is preferred.
$22.66/hour; possible future booking incentives.
