The Holiday Inn Charlotte University Place is currently hiring a Food & Beverage Supervisor. Responsibilities: To assist the Food & Beverage Manager in the supervision of all activities relating to the Food and Beverage department. To ensure client satisfaction while being able to lead and motivate his/her team to exceed the customer's expectations and maintain the highest standards of products and services to maximize profitability through cost and labor control. Essential Job Tasks: • Assist in the supervision and training of the Food & Beverage Staff including Banquets, Restaurants, Room Service, Culinary, and other areas if necessary, handling special projects, running promotions, public relations, and marketing. • Exceptional customer service/guest and associate relations skills. • Maintains the highest food and beverage quality standards, service, and marketing to maximize profits through "outstanding" customer service. • Ensure the consistent practice of all standards and policies throughout the department. • Control food, beverage, payroll, and equipment costs (minimizing loss and misuse). • Proactively strives to build positive working relationships through teamwork and clear communication as a hotel member. • Must maintain a good working relationship with the Union. All policies and procedures must be approved by the Union prior to implementation. • Assist with the development, implementation, and consistency of cost-saving and profit-enhancing measures in Food and Beverage in support of the overall hotel operation. • Consistently assist in providing a clean, organized, and safe work/guest environment • Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry and report deadlines, employees must be available to work varying schedules to meet the business needs of the hotel and report deadlines with limited notice. Qualifications: Job Requirements : • Knowledge or willingness to learn Food & Beverage operations including foods, beverages, point of sale systems, cost controls, supervisory aspects, service techniques, and guest/associate interaction. • Ability to communicate explicitly in English, both verbal and written with guests and associates. • Leadership and organizational abilities • Computer knowledge in Microsoft Word and Excel • 2 years previous Food and Beverage experience preferred.
