We’re searching for a food prep cook who will work with our head cook/chef to prep a variety of foods, and stock food stations with ingredients and condiments. You’ll be responsible for keeping all food stations and equipment neat, clean and sanitized. You must read recipe directions in English and operate kitchen equipment, including sharp knives and measuring tools. Expect some lifting, bending, and standing on your feet during your shift, as well as the ability to take on other duties as needed. Responsibilities: • Keep all prep and workstation areas organized and equipment hygienic and sanitized at closing • Understand recipe instructions, measurements, meal charts, and labels written in English and use all measuring tools properly • Adhere to COVID-19 safety protocol measures in all food preparation areas and follow all food safety guidelines in the kitchen workstations • Assist other cooks in the kitchen as needed with preparing simple recipes such as soups, sauce reduction, and brewing coffee and tea • Use the correct amounts of condiments, wash all fruits and vegetables to be peeled, diced, and sliced, slice meats, and mix a variety of sauces Qualifications: • Available to work weekends and holidays, pitching in extra hours whenever needed • Read and comprehend recipes, labels, and meal charts written in English • Experienced in the proper handling of kitchen equipment, sharp knives, and other kitchen tools • Have some experience prepping food and the ability to work under the head chef/cook with minor supervision • Should be able to stand on your feet for long periods of time and also bend, pull, and lift 35-50 pounds Compensation: $15 - $16 hourly
