The FSQA Technician reports to the FSQA Supervisor and is responsible for performing all required FSQA functions properly and in a timely manner to ensure consistency in producing Safe & High-Quality products that conform to the regulatory, 3rd party certification, company and customer standards. The FSQA Technician also participates in special projects and assignments as specified by the FSQA Supervisor or Management.
Shift Schedule: Mondays- Fridays, 2:00 am to 10:30 am & 12:00 pm to 8:30 pm
Saturday work and overtime availability required as needed.
Primary Duties:
- · Perform the below FSQA function as trained, as per established procedures and in a timely manner:
- Incoming raw material, ingredients, packaging material and pallet inspection.
- Daily functions such as thermometer calibration inspection, scale calibration verification, water activity meter calibration, ATP swabbing and reader calibration, pre-operational / operational / GMP monitoring, HACCP CCP record review, fill weight Monitoring, X-ray and/or metal detector calibration verification and monitoring, label printing and review, retention sample collection and data entry as per established procedures.
- Periodic functions such as lab sample submission, gluten test, environmental swabbing, air quality collection, potable water quality collection, pest control device inspection, facility GMP audit, retention sample shelf life evaluation, and allergen validation as per established procedures.
- Place non-conforming material on hold and facilitate hold disposition as per FSQA Management's instructions.
- Perform pre-shipment record review as assigned by FSQA Supervisor or Management.
- Assist FSQA Management in trouble shooting, corrective and preventive action development and implementation.
- Perform job / GMP / food safety training for new employees, as required by FSQA Supervisor or Management.
- · Proactively communicating important findings, observations and results with concerned personnel.
- Participate in special projects and assignments as specified by the FSQA Supervisor or Management.
Qualifications and Traits:
Required :
High school diploma or GED.
1 -3 years of food industry experience.
Basic mathematical skills.
Effective English written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient user of PC including MS Outlook / Excel / Word / PowerPoint / Chats.
Willing to work different / extended hours as required.
High integrity and strong work ethics.

A go-getter with a can-do attitude.
Self-motivated, articulate, detail-oriented and organized.
Resourceful, tenacious and creative.
Preferred :
- AS degree.
- 1 -3 years of food or beverage QA/C experience in the USDA and/or FDA regulated manufacturing facilities.
- Fluency in verbal and/or written Spanish.
- HACCP certification, SQF or BRC knowledge.
- SafetyChain / Redzone / TraceGains / MasterControl or other FSQA and productivity software user experience.
Pay range: $19.00 to $22.00
