    Job Description

    The Food Safety and Quality Compliance Manager will play an integral role in managing and maintaining customer relationships by providing food/feed safety, quality, and regulatory support from onboarding new customers and throughout the business relationship. This role will also be crucial in partnering with cross-functional partners to ensure food/feed safety and quality expectations are met within the various business systems including SAP, LDC Learn, She Digital, etc.

    This role will report to the Regional Director, Quality and Food Safety supporting the regional FFSQ team and regional manufacturing locations.

    Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions

    • Ensure customer satisfaction by responding to customer concerns and inquiries promptly working to resolve concerns.
    • Serve as the primary contact for customer food/feed safety and quality concerns or issues. Providing clear and timely communication.
    • Food/Feed Safety and Quality Control provide a harmonized approach to customer specification and expectations partnering with the regional quality engineer and site FSQ managers.
    • Define and manage the customer onboarding experience with each LDC NAM location including coordination of plant and product qualification activities (initial and maintenance).
    • Horizon scan for emerging issues and or trends to proactively identify plans for LDC to address these issues/trends.
    • Manage the Customer FFSQ product and plant statement lifecycle.
    • Act as the Food/Feed Safety and Quality Advocate with IT Data management in identifying the FFSQ requirements for software solutions and ensuring FFSQ requirements are addressed in the development of or updating of software solutions utilized by industry and operations.
    • Act as the Key user for software and systems user acceptance trials as the designated “super user” for the FFSQ function. Proving training to the regional and local FFSQ teams.
    • Provide the regional governance for data management and act as the functional records coordinator ensuring hard copy, digitized, and electronic records are maintained per LDC policy and regulatory requirements.
    • Partnering with IT on overall quality systems delivery process and infrastructure requirements when selecting new solutions to deliver continuous improvement within he FFSQ data management for enhanced customer experience and regulatory compliance space.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Required Education and Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree – technical discipline
    • Demonstrated analytical and risk assessment skills.
    • Preventive Controls Qualified Individual – Human Food or Animal Feed
    • Food Safety and Quality in manufacturing setting experience minimum 5 years
    • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SAP, Power BI, Minitab

    Preferred Skills

    • Root Cause Analysis tools (Fishbone, 5 Whys, FMEA, etc.)
    • Project Management
