Our banquet team is looking for a courteous and attentive server who can provide our guests with a great experience at special events. Our banquet servers are responsible for serving food and beverages to guests, clearing plates and silverware, and ensuring any special guest needs are met. This position requires a team-first approach since you'll be working closely with other servers, banquet captains, and kitchen staff to ensure the event runs smoothly. Benefits • Employee Rate at IHG Hotels • Free On-Site Parking • Free Employee Meals • Employee Referral Program Responsibilities: • Serve appetizers, main course meals, desserts, and other items, such as drinks, to banquet guests • Carry coffee pots, water pitchers, and other drinks around the room, refilling guests' cups and glasses as requested • Provide excellent service to all guests from start to finish of special events • Follow all food and safety guidelines as well as ensure that the entire team is adhering to the same food handling standards • Remove plates, replacing utensils, and keeping an eye out for spills or any special needs from guests Qualifications: • Candidates must have completed high school or received similar certification (GED) • Experience working in food service is preferred • Must have excellent time management and organizational skills • Proven customer service experience with a strong guest-focused mentality • Display superior communication and interpersonal skills interacting with guests and coworkers • Must possess a valid TN ABC card or be able to acquire one within the scheduled time frame Compensation: $18 hourly
