The food service coordinator at The Goddard School is responsible for all food management. The food service coordinator must have a good attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Candidate must have current food sanitation/food manager’s certificate. Competitive pay pending experience. Initial working hours will be 6:45am to 2:00pm but hours may vary slightly based on the needs of school.
Daily Responsibilities Possible Job Duties Include:
Create and manage budget and inventory, prepare menus, and calculate portions;
Prepare lunch and snacks following USDA nutritional guidelines for children;
Cleaning and washing prep table, sweeping and mopping the floors, and cleaning and organizing the prep fridge and pantry;
Maintaining overall cleanliness in the kitchen;
Budgeting, managing, and ordering inventory;
Assisting in other areas as needed assigned by management.
Job Requirements

Serv-Safe certificate
Food Worker Certificate, or Food Safety Certificate
An approved criminal record check as required by state regulations.
A food handler must meet the following qualifications:
The ability to prepare food and serve food, in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations for the state.
The ability to understand and comply with the school’s policies relating to food service and employment policies.
The ability to communicate effectively with school personnel, children and parents.
