    Position Overview: The Southeast Iowa Sports Center is seeking energetic and customer-focused Food and Beverage Personnel to join our team. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality food and beverage services to guests, ensuring a positive and enjoyable experience during their time at the facility. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, an understanding of food safety standards, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Customer Service: Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner, take food and beverage orders, and provide recommendations based on the menu. Ensure that all guests have an excellent dining experience.

    Food & Beverage Preparation: Prepare and serve food and beverages in accordance with health and safety regulations. Ensure food is served at the appropriate temperature and presented in an appetizing manner.

    Cash Handling & Transactions: Accurately process transactions, including cash, credit card payments, and point-of-sale (POS) orders. Ensure all transactions are processed correctly and efficiently.

    Inventory Management: Assist with restocking inventory and supplies (such as condiments, napkins, utensils, etc.) and notify the Food & Beverage Manager of any shortages or low stock levels.

    Food Safety & Cleanliness: Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in food preparation, storage, and service areas. Follow food safety protocols to ensure all food is prepared and served in a safe and sanitary manner.

    Event & Concessions Support: Assist with food and beverage services during special events, tournaments, or large group activities. Set up and break down food stations and concessions stands as needed.

    Facility Maintenance: Keep the food and beverage areas tidy, including cleaning tables, counters, and equipment. Ensure trash and waste are properly disposed of in a timely manner.

    Team Collaboration: Work closely with other food and beverage team members and support staff to ensure efficient operations and excellent customer service.

    Guest Interaction: Respond to guest inquiries or concerns in a courteous and timely manner. Resolve customer issues promptly, ensuring guest satisfaction.

    Adherence to Policies: Follow all safety, sanitation, and operational policies set forth by the Food & Beverage Manager, as well as local health regulations.

    Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as required by the Food & Beverage Manager to support operations.

    Qualifications:

    High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

    Have a ServSafe certification or the ability to obtain it.

    Previous experience in food service, hospitality, or customer service is a plus.

    Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.

    Strong interpersonal skills and a customer-focused attitude.

    Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

    Ability to handle cash and operate a POS system.

    Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

    Physical Requirements:

    Ability to stand, walk, and move around the food service area for extended periods.

    Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.

    Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations effectively.
