    POSITION OVERVIEW

    The Food Truck Crew Member is the front-line face of the food truck business. This position is responsible for taking guest's food and drink orders, serving food and beverages, preparing itemized checks, and responsible for accepting payments. May perform additional duties, which may include serving guests that may be seated in proximity of food truck/s, setting up and clearing tables, and/or operating a cash register. They also check the identification of patrons to ensure they meet the minimum age requirement for the purchase of alcohol. Responsible for providing the highest quality of service possible to guests in an efficient and courteous manner. He/she is also responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, sanitation, and safety in and out of the food truck and work area.

    RATE OF PAY $19.00 plus the opportunity to make tips

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    1. Perform opening and closing duties according to established side-work checklist.
    2. Have a thorough knowledge of menus and current specials.
    3. Ensure quality control of menus regarding cleanliness and appearance.
    4. Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
    5. Employees must be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to all guests, managers, and fellow employees, and always have a warm, upbeat demeanor.
    6. Greet guests in a timely manner.
    7. Be attentive of guests’ needs and assist in providing a pleasant dining experience.
    8. Collect money and/or credit cards from guests and make the correct change.
    9. Operate the approved point of sale software.
    10. Prepare cashier report at the end of shift.
    11. Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper uniform and nametag when working.
    12. Always comply with Timber’s standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient operations.
    13. Attending meetings and training as required by management.
    14. Perform other duties as requested by management.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (not limited to)

    • Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for food truck patrons
    • Following proper TIPS Guidelines
    • Delivering guest their items ordered, emphasizing on accuracy and efficiency
    • Answering Phones / Taking to-go orders / Running food if necessary
    • Knowledge of the basic functions of food operations
    • Working knowledge of acceptable standards of sanitation and proper chemical usage
    • Cleaning, stocking, organization of food truck daily
    • Setting up and/or breaking down the register/cash drawer, drink coolers, and potentially umbrellas/tables

    POSITION REQUIREMENTS

    Education: High school diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or related field is preferred.

    Experience: Background with serving, basic bartending, cashiering is a plus.

    Required: -Must have a valid driver’s license, motor vehicle background check will be completed

    -Alcohol Awareness Certification (must comply with State regulations)

    -Must be 18 years old or older to hold this role, serving/selling alcohol in state of FL

    -Food Handlers Certification (must comply with State regulations)

    • Must show initiative in job performance, including anticipating what needs to be done before it becomes a necessity.

    • Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying the concerns or issues raised by coworkers and/or guests.
    • Teamwork is essential and critical in this role.
    • Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data, and basic arithmetic functions.

    WORKING CONDITIONS - PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

    Working in a confined space with exposer to hot kitchen environments on a daily basis.

    Position requires you to be able to stand, walk, bend and stoop for prolonged periods of time.

    Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.

    Must be able work in different types of weather, including high temperatures.

    Operating a variety of equipment specific to food trucks, along with safety equipment such as fire extinguishers

    HOURS REQUIRED 40 hours per week, flexible schedule, will be required to work weekends and/or holidays. Current scheduling is 9:30AM - 5:30PM (with subject to change dependent on business needs).
