Job Description

The Business Development Analyst assists the Chief of Strategy and Business Development in improving our company’s strategies and competitiveness. Duties include prospecting, initial contact, research/evaluation, and field trial execution/evaluation of new MedTech technologies to be considered for integration into ForTec Medical’s product portfolio. Independent research that requires high analytical skills, compilation, and reporting of key BD metrics are integral to the role.

• Using multiple resources, such as the web and third-party business research software, to identify existing and emerging MedTech companies and technologies to pursue ForTec’s business development pipeline.
• Understand our current mobile offerings and manufacturers in detail to assess if we can leverage our existing relationships to broaden our technology offering from current manufacturers.
• Research and attend specialty medical trade shows to prospect for new partners, collaborate with physicians, and spread the ForTec story/brand.
• Analyze business data to evaluate operations, improve sales revenue, and build a sustainable customer base.
• Develop, with the assistance of the Business Development team, and complete a standardized template for assessing business development opportunities.
• Collaborate with ForTec field sales and marketing to evaluate new opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or related field required.
• 2+ years with direct experience in business development. Medical device experience preferred.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Strong analytical skills to assess problems and develop solutions, sound judgment, and decision-making skills.
• Strong team player and positive, growth mindset.
• High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to effectively meet deadlines and follow through.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Ability to deal with frequent change or unexpected events in a professional.
