Gleam Electric is growing and we want you on our team! As a thriving and growing electrical and lighting contracting company with over 7 years in business, we are in search of qualified applicants to assist with our ever growing workload in our Industrial Fan department.
We are searching for driven, enthusiastic installers to join our team. The responsibilities include learning and developing practical skills, participating in classes and workshops on and offsite, observing all health and safety codes. You should be well-organized, flexible, and willing to assist wherever possible.
To be successful as an installer, you must have great time management skills and be willing to fit into the existing staff structure. Outstanding team members are those who respond well to criticism, build good relationships with colleagues, and ultimately make a lasting impression.
Installer Responsibilities:
Locate and understand basic electrical materials
Basic knowledge and understanding of electrical components
Attending workshops, and participating in as many learning opportunities as possible.
Assisting within the relevant department, but also learning about other aspects of the company.
Observing health and safety procedures.
Working in the office and traveling to other sites when required.
Positively receiving feedback.
Attending meetings and offering suggestions for improvement.
Keeping a log of everything learned highly suggested
Building professional relationships with colleagues and clients
Above basic knowledge of wiring terminations recommended
Basic current NEC code knowledge recommended
Installer Requirements:
High school diploma or GED.
Driver's license required
Experience in mechanical installations
Experience in 120 volt through 480 volt connections
Recommended but not required some experience in HVLS fans
Good physical strength and hand-eye coordination required.
Good time management, critical, and interpersonal skills.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
A growth mindset and passion for learning.
Reliable transportation
Basic hand tools
Recommended but not required OSHA 10, Lock out tag out training, first aid and CPR certified
Essential to be flexible for overnight work/travel
Essential Physical Requirements
Must be able and willing to work indoors and in adverse conditions
Must be able to lift and carry materials of all shapes and sizes, weighing 80+ pounds
Must be able to stand on your feet for 8 hours a day
