    Job Overview:
    The Foreman Pipefitter (Hydronics) is responsible for leading and supervising the installation, maintenance, and repair of hydronic piping systems in residential, commercial, or industrial settings. This role involves overseeing a team of pipefitters, ensuring project timelines are met, maintaining safety and quality standards, and coordinating with project managers, engineers, and clients.


    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Leadership and Supervision:
      • Direct and manage a team of pipefitters and apprentices on-site.
      • Delegate tasks and ensure proper execution of hydronic system installations.
      • Conduct regular team meetings to review progress, safety protocols, and project requirements.
    2. Hydronic Systems Installation and Maintenance:
      • Interpret and work from blueprints, schematics, and project specifications.
      • Install, maintain, and repair hydronic heating and cooling systems, including boilers, chillers, heat exchangers, pumps, and radiators.
      • Perform system testing and troubleshooting to ensure optimal functionality.
    3. Project Management:
      • Monitor project schedules and budgets, ensuring work is completed on time and within scope.
      • Coordinate with other trades, contractors, and clients to ensure seamless integration of hydronic systems with other building systems.
      • Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of work progress, materials used, and system testing results.
    4. Safety and Compliance:
      • Enforce workplace safety standards and ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations.
      • Conduct regular safety audits and toolbox talks with the team.
      • Address and resolve any safety concerns promptly.
    5. Quality Assurance:
      • Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and specifications.
      • Identify and resolve any issues or defects in hydronic systems.
      • Train team members on best practices and advanced techniques in hydronic installations.

    Qualifications:

    • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in pipefitting with a focus on hydronic systems, including at least 2 years in a leadership or foreman role.
    • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications in plumbing, pipefitting, or HVAC preferred.
    • Licenses/Certifications:
      • Journeyman or Master Pipefitter License.
      • OSHA 30 or equivalent safety certification preferred.
    • Skills:
      • Strong knowledge of hydronic heating and cooling systems.
      • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
      • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
      • Familiarity with tools, equipment, and materials used in pipefitting and hydronic systems.

    Work Environment:

    • Physical role involving lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces or elevated positions.
    • Exposure to varying weather conditions on construction sites.
    • May involve extended hours and weekend work to meet project deadlines.
