    Forever Home Family Solutions is a private residential & commercial real estate investment company in Tampa, FL that is hiring an experienced, hands-on Property Accountant/Controller to manage all aspects of financial, corporate and property accounting, and investor relations for a portfolio of different real estate assets and owner associations.     THE IDEAL PROPERTY ACCOUNTANT/CONTROLLER CANDIDATE WILL:

     Be able to maintain attention to detail and accuracy while handling a high volume of financial transactions  Be able to meet critical deadlines for year-end and quarterly reports  Be a self-starter with a strong work ethic who manages his or her time efficiently  Be comfortable collaborating with a variety of team members across job functions in a small, family-oriented office  Be able to work independently and as part of a close-knit team that includes owners, property managers, maintenance personnel and office staff  Be flexible and pro-active as our investment portfolio grows and the needs of the job change.  Be comfortable with speaking to investors about financial statements and tax questions

    The Property Accountant/Controller will help administer the internal property management systems and functions along with helping to ensure compliance with Wilson Home Realty internal controls. Prior property management accounting, integrated software experience, proficiency with MS Office products and QuickBooks Online is preferred, along with previous experience using real estate software platforms such as Yardi, MRI, AppFolio or similar. Knowledge of general business practices, property management operations and human resources coordination is a plus.

    PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

     Accurate, timely financial reporting (to Owner) including variance analysis and cash flow  General accounting.  Assist with cash management including inter-company transactions and transfers, interest income  Perform bank reconciliations (various bank accounts)  Assist with accounts receivable  Assist with accounts payable (invoices 300+ per month, check processing, online payments)  Prepare and manage monthly general ledgers (monthly reconciliations, property closing journal entries)  Assist with investor distributions and communication  Assist with monthly and quarterly sales tax  Assist with loan payments, tracking  Property management software and investor management administration  Properties – assist with setting up properties, general ledger accounts and financial reports  Investors – provide important year-end tax and other ad hoc reporting to investors  Assist with annual budgeting and common area maintenance reconciliations  Assist with preparation and submission of annual 1099 reporting

    REQUIREMENTS:

     Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business or finance  Preferable two years of property management experience  Solid verbal and written communication skills  QuickBooks Online experience  Strong general ledger accounting and comprehensive budgeting  High level Excel user  Desire to work in a small company environment  Aptitude for multi-tasking and problem solving  Strong aptitude for teamwork and communication

    COMPENSATION:

    Starting salary is negotiable DOE ($50K-$70K) - health and retirement benefits

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year

    Schedule:  8 hour shift

    Ability to commute/relocate:

     Tampa, FL 33629: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
