  • Responsibilities

    Position Summary:

    Responsible for new product formulation and troubleshooting of existing product formulation and procedures in production. Supports product life cycle from inception and to shelf life for new and revised products. Proven interest in developing Nutritional Supplements in various forms.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for New Product development. Leverage technical experience and skills to develop formulation and process for new products for tablets, capsules, and powder from concept to commercial batches within a specified timeline and cost constraints.
    • Handle multiple development projects in a timely manner.
    • Conducts market research and evaluations on existing and new ingredients to drive development of new product innovations.
    • Write master manufacturing records for new products and update existing as needed.
    • Continuously improve and optimize formulation and process for existing products including test batches due to ingredient changes, manufacturing issues, complexity reduction and cost savings.
    • Provide support to production in troubleshooting.
    • Capable of working in a manufacturing environment to participate in normal product development and product improvement activities with production personnel.
    • Partners cross functionally with sales, procurement, planning, production, and quality team to efficiently execute projects.
    • Contributes to overall achievement by accomplishing related tasks.
    • Works well within a team environment both internal and external.
    • Continuous improvement of technical skills and personal development. Acts as an ambassador for the company when representing externally.
    • Drives a culture of change.
    • Other activities may be assigned as required by management.


    QUALIFICATIONS

    Education and Experience:

    • 3-5 years of experience as a formulator in manufacturing tablets, capsules and powders.
    • BS in Science Related field. MS or above is a plus.

     

    Required Skills:

    • Experience with manufacturing equipment for tablets and capsules.
    • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
    • Organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and assignments.
    • Highly motivated, critical thinker and easily adapts to changes.
    • Good interpersonal skills.
    • Excellent knowledge of PC software, MS Office, Word, Excel.
    • College mathematical skills required.
    • Willing to work overtime as needed.
    • Experience in gummy, softgel and/or cosmetics is a plus
  • Compensation
    $125,000 per year
