    Foxconn is currently seeking SMT PROGRAMMERS & OPERATORS for our new facility located in Southeastern Wisconsin. The SMT LINE OPERATOR is responsible for inspecting parts for defects, touching up solder defects, placing and soldering parts, while assisting with inventory control, and perform preventative maintenance on select equipment. The SMT PROGRAMMER is responsible for programming and troubleshooting all pieces of equipment of an SMT (surface mount technology) assembly line to ensure that all customer specifications/requirements are met.

    AVAILABLE SHIFTS:

    • 1st Shift/Monday-Friday/7am-4pm/Occasional Overtime Available
    • 2nd Shift/Monday-Friday/3:30pm-Midnight/Occasional Overtime Available
    • 3rd Shift/Monday-Friday/Midnight-7am/Occasional Overtime Available

    OPERATOR RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

    • Startup, set-up, operate, teardown, and shutdown assigned printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) machines
    • Perform daily and routine maintenance on printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) machines
    • Communicate with SMT Process Technicians and Sr. Leadership to resolve machine and process related issues
    • Analyze data to identify and resolve systemic process and performance issues
    • Read and correctly interpret printed circuit board documentation
    • Assist with troubleshooting SMT line when needed
    • Use and handle small hand tools for the assembly of printed circuit boards efficiently
    • Use microscope or other magnifying devices as is necessary to complete an assignment
    • Promptly and accurately complete all forms, reports or documentation required

    PROGRAMMER RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

    • Programming of various equipment: SMT Pick & Place (ASM), GKG/ASM Printer, Koh-young SPI, Koh-Young AOI, X-RAY inspection, Universal Fuzion XC PTH Inserter and related Through Hole prep equipment, and inspection equipment
    • SMT first piece run and program debug, including programming, screen print stencil development, paste inspect, SMT placement, reflow, and equipment/material qualifications
    • THT first piece run and process development / programming through hand-load, and wave/selective solder
    • Co-ordinate with planning on daily basis and execute job optimization in Si-place explorer for optimal machine set-up and programming sequences for maximum efficiency
    • Act as a technical resource for daily manufacturing execution by promptly responding to line-machine requests from A-Techs, providing solutions or engaging external resources for additional support
    • Actively participate in associated new project’s PFMEAs and New Product Introduction

    EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS, IDEAL EXPERIENCE, PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    OPERATOR:

    • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
    • Experience operating Surface Mount Technology (SMT) machines
    • Minimum 1 year of soldering experience.
    • Must have fine manual dexterity skills and the ability to follow standard work instructions, drawings and schematics.
    • Ability to stand consistently for consecutive hours in a day
    • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision

    PROGRAMMER:

    • Associates Degree in an engineering equivalent or equivalent combination of education & experience
    • 2-3 years minimum experience in printed circuit board assembly processes, methodologies, standards, and best practices
    • Ability to work long hours on your feet

    FOXCONN FULL-TIME, PERMANENT EMPLOYEES:

    • Accrue ten (10) personal days off and ten (10) vacation days off during calendar year.
    • 401K savings plan eligibility upon completion of three (3) months of full-time employment.
