About The Opportunity
Camp Bow Wow is hiring for a Franchise Business Coach (FBC) to serve as the key point of contact and advisor for Franchise Owners in a portfolio of Camps within a specific region. The role provides financial, operational, and programming expertise to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction. The FBC partners with franchisees to understand current performance, establish goals or business plans, and determine strategies that drive results. Using a consultative approach, the FBC ensures that franchise operations and programming are implemented in adherence to Camp Bow Wow’s brand standards ensuring a high-quality customer and pet experience. This position reports to the VP of Field Operations.
Camp Bow Wow is hiring two (2) Franchise Business Coaches for the following regions:
Region 4 – AR, CO, KS, LA, MO, NM, OK
Region 6 – AK, AZ, CA, HI, ID, MT, NE, ND, NV, OR, UT, SD, WA, WY
It is preferred that the FBC lives in their region, but it is not required. We encourage all interested applicants to apply.
How You Will Make a Difference
Conduct financial and operational analysis to access portfolio opportunities, determine critical priorities by location, and develop tailored action plans.
Cultivate a strong working relationship with franchisees to share observations, financial results, business recommendations, and operational guidelines.
Provide coaching and training to help franchisees optimize operations and achieve profitability.
Conduct ongoing calls, site visits, monthly business reviews, programming webinars, and peer groups with all locations within region.
Act as a subject matter expert in all aspects of Camp Bow Wow to manage and resolve questions, complaints, and concerns from franchisees within region (30-60 locations depending on assigned region).
Plan and organize site visits to conduct one strive visit (brand standard and operation compliance report) per location per year and utilize visits to assess operational performance and offer actionable feedback.
Provide change management support to franchisees to achieve 100% adoption of new programming, technology, or brand initiatives within region.
Ensure franchise locations adhere to Camp Bow Wow brand standards, operational guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
Partner with franchisee to maintain high standards of Camp cleanliness, customer experience, and professionalism.
Document all daily communication in customer relationship management software (FranConnect) and resolve all issues within 24 hours of receipt (including after hours).
Utilize available technology, software, and reports to create and share insight on sales, customer feedback, financial results, and KPIs per location to inform franchise business strategy.
Act as mediator between franchisees and corporate support teams, ensuring smooth communications and problem resolution.
Support franchisees to adhere to marketing strategies, campaigns, and brand standards.
Attends onboarding calls for new locations in region and hosts weekly Ramp Up Calls to breakeven following the New Camp Opening trainings (“Poop Camp”).
Assist Training Department with updating curriculum, learning modules, and in-person programs i.e. Poop Camp, Manager Training, etc and deliver training sessions on an as needed basis.
Complete quarterly snapshot per location documenting compliance and following up with franchisee accordingly.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices, sharing insight with franchisees to support ongoing professional growth.
Assists Technology Department in testing of new applications and programs.
A Strong Candidate Will Have
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related field
3-5 years of experience in franchise operations, business consulting, or multi-unit management, ideally within the pet, retail, or hospitality sectors
Ability to travel up to 75% throughout the year, including overnight and weekend travel.
2+ years of experience analyzing business results and creating business plans
2+ years of experience with franchise system operations and ability to build rapport and trust with franchise owners.
Excellent communication (verbal and written), organization, and presentation skills.
Strong attention to detail, takes initiative, and is proactive in all aspects of communication follow-up and follow-through.
Time Management and project management skills are critical.
Technical experience with MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and all ancillary tools.
Experience with FranConnect or Customer Relationship Management software preferred.
Must LOVE Dogs! You will be in new camps with dogs – expect the fur to be flying and tails-a-wagging.

Compensation & Benefits
Compensation Range: $70,000 – $80,000
Job Type: Full-Time, Exempt
Work Arrangements: up to 75% travel to the franchise locations within territory and quarterly in-office week visits to the corporate office in Colorado. When not traveling, ability to work remotely. Remote location does not need to be located within territory.
