Freight Sales Coordinator and Customer Service - Entry Level

Salary Range Salary: $32,500 to $37,500 Annual Salary Plus Commission Salary Plus up to 12% Commission on Gross Profit Expected 1st year income to be estimated at $45,000 plus
Full Time Schedule: 40 hrs/wk during hours of operation (Mon-Fri, 7:50AM-6PM Eastern Time)

This position is primarily responsible for responding to quote requests and determining what is required for that particular lane of freight. To effectively manage and improve the entire shipping process within the truckload area. The Freight Coordinator handles carrier issues and concerns professionally and diplomatically to ensure our sales staff and customer received the best value for that lane.
Responsibilities:
· Responsible for setting up and tracking freight shipments, data entry, basic accounting practices and problem solving for our Enterprise clients.
· Generate shipment quotes and determine the best method of shipment
· Check on statuses of loads regarding pickup and delivery date and time
· Contact receivers for delivery appointments dates
· Maintain accurate records of all customer and carrier interactions.
· Investigate, open, and manage carrier issues. Follow up with all internal personnel and ensure timely and satisfactory resolution for all parties.
· Evaluate and recommend proactive solutions to mitigate issues (e.g., late or missed shipments) by using subject matter expertise.
· Maintain the highest level of profitability, carrier satisfaction and support
· Communicate with internal sales people regarding all aspects of the supply chain process.
· Recommend solutions to streamline processes and improve transportation costs and service to our Enterprise clients.
· Participate in the quarterly review process by providing meaningful feedback, information and metrics.
· Develop and maintains solid carrier relationships, work with carriers as needed to improve client service
· Provides recommendations to continuously develop more efficient internal processes.
· Act as a leader, providing direction and support to other employees
