    Job Summary We are seeking a experienced Dental Treatment Plan Coordinator who values teamwork and helping patients achieve their dental goals. A Dental Coordinator works directly with and advocates for patients who require dental treatment. As the Treatment Coordinator, you liaise between the dentist and patient to help advise on dental decisions, arrange appointments, inform on care, and answer any questions that clients may have regarding their treatment.

    Responsibilities

    • Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience.
    • Schedule and confirm patient appointments, utilizing scheduling systems such as Open Dental.
    • Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations for treatments.
    • Collect and process patient payments, including co-pays and deductibles.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical history and treatment plans.
    • Assist with medical record management, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
    • Coordinate referrals to specialists or other healthcare providers as needed.
    • Provide administrative support to the healthcare team, including managing phone calls, emails, and correspondence.
    • Collaborate with front desk staff to ensure smooth operations and efficient patient flow.

    Qualifications

    • Proficiency in using our software system, Open Dental.
    • Excellent knowledge of dental terminology and procedures and the ability to educate patients on recommended treatments.
    • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
    • Experience working in a medical or dental office setting is preferred.
    • Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
