Job Description: Front Desk Associates are ambassadors for the hotel. They greet and register guests, provide outstanding service, and settle the guest’s account upon completion of their stay.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Maintaining accurate front desk cash drawers, room sales, and accurate folio transactions.
· Greeting, registering, and assigning rooms to guests.
· Issuing room keys and escort instructions
· Transmitting telephone messages.
· Answering inquiries pertaining to hotel services, local shopping, dining, and entertainment.
· Keeping records of room availability and guests' accounts.
· Computing bills, collecting payments, and making changes for guests.
· Making and confirming reservations.
· Posting charges such as room, sundry items, fax, copy or telephone.
· Making restaurant, transportation, or entertainment reservations.
· Depositing guests' valuables in safe deposit box when requested.
· Answering telephone calls promptly and politely in accordance with hotel policies.
· Restocking coffee station as needed.
· Restocking work area - maintain neat and organized work area.
· Delivering supplies to guests as needed.
**This position offers 20-30 hours weekly based on the need of the hotel. Two of these shifts can be expected to be 3rd shift (11pm-7am). **
