We are looking to hire a Front Desk Attendant who is outgoing, reliable, and coachable. At FFC high-quality customer service is a must! Job Type: part time
Location: 353 North Clark Street, Chicago IL, 60654
Required Shifts: 6:45 am - 11 am on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday
Compensation: $16.20/hour
Duties and Responsibilities:
Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
Greet members by name and with a smile and create “First Impression” for the club; Check in, welcome and ensure that members and guests have a safe and enjoyable experience
Answer incoming calls and direct calls accordingly in professional manner and in accordance with 353 Fitness Center greeting script
Maintain the weight and cardiovascular fitness areas ensuring equipment is clean, functioning properly and used according to guidelines of the facility
Execute all duties relating to Locker & Laundry Service
Ensure members and guests are aware of all programming, activities and events available
Maintain attendance records and ensure all members and guests have registered for the facility
Assist in promoting the Fitness Center and organize special events as required
Ensure the Fitness Center is clean and well maintained
Follow departmental policies and procedures
Follow all safety and sanitation policies
Handle member questions and concerns in addition to performing tasks related to: Membership, Marketing, Programming, Locker & Laundry and Operations
Perform opening and closing functions regarding the front desk; Adhere to assigned schedule and task checklist as closely as possible
Attend required meetings and complete other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Six (6) months to one (1) year of previous customer service, hospitality, retail (or related industry)
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Energetic and enthusiastic personality
Passionate about the health and fitness industry
Ability to multi-task, demonstrate initiative and strong work ethic
American Red Cross CPR Certification (or equivalent)
American Red Cross First Aid Certification (or equivalent)
