Innkeeper/Front Desk Person Description
Many of the duties of the Innkeeper/Front Desk position overlap with the General Manager.
The Innkeeper should be able to run the 28-unit Rental Program and Facility Management in the General Manager’s absence.
While the hotel is open, the Innkeeper oversees the front desk and coordinates housekeeping activities. This position also ensures room quality by checking rooms after they are cleaned before guests check-in.
The Innkeeper must be familiar with all the PMS (Room Raccoon) functionality related to hotel operations. This includes booking/changing reservations, payment collection, cancellation, group bookings, and how to correct errors.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the job include but are not limited to:
Prepares work schedule in collaboration with housekeeping and front desk staff.
Knowledge and experience working with hotel PMS software.
Developing and implementing yield management strategies in the interest of maximizing occupancy of guest rooms which gives the greatest possible revenue, including coordination with the Reservationist and General Manager
Able to make reasonable and professional decisions.
