Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour

Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled and certified Drug & Alcohol Collector with experience as a Medical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will conduct drug and alcohol collections per DOT and non-DOT protocols, ensuring compliance with all regulations. This role requires attention to detail, professionalism, and excellent interpersonal skills to interact with clients and patients effectively.
Responsibilities:
• Perform drug and alcohol testing according to DOT and non-DOT standards, including urine, breath alcohol, saliva, and hair tests. • Working up occupational health services such as urinalysis, audiograms, vision exams, spirometry, etc. • Ensure accurate and timely documentation and reporting of test results. • Provide administrative and clinical support as a Medical Assistant when necessary, including patient intake, basic vital checks, and record-keeping. • Maintain the confidentiality of patient information and ensure secure handling of specimens. • Follow strict protocols to ensure compliance with federal, state, and company standards. • Assist in maintaining inventory of testing supplies and ensure testing areas are clean and properly equipped. • Interact professionally with clients, patients, and team members, delivering high-quality customer service. • Scheduling appointments • Taking payments, batching out at the end of the day • Daily morning huddles with Dr. and end of day reporting • Perform Clinical Intake with patients to include taking and recording vital signs and patient history • Complete patient referrals and patient callbacks daily • Prepare rooms according to protocol, Clean exam/procedure rooms and equipment between patient visits • Proper, concise and complete EMR documentation and paper based documentation for all assessments and procedures • Manage inventory of supplies; restock exam/procedure rooms • Maintain clinical supplies • Must be willing and able to call various businesses in the area to expand working relationships with the clinic (bonuses included for this task)
Requirements:
• Certification or training in drug and alcohol testing (DOT certification preferred). • Proven experience as a Medical Assistant with current certification or relevant experience. • Strong knowledge of occupational health practices and protocols. • Excellent communication and customer service skills. • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations. • High attention to detail and ability to follow strict testing procedures. • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in occupational health, DOT testing, or a similar healthcare setting. • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and testing software.
