    Position Summary: The primary responsibility of the Receptionist is to be the smiling face of the school to the Cambridge community and outside visitors. As the first contact, the Receptionist assists guests with various needs and helps the administration, faculty and students with various tasks while maintaining the “first impression” that makes Cambridge stand out among its peers.

    Job Duties:

    • Operate the phone system for the school.
    • Greet visitors - checking them in and directing them to the appropriate areas, if needed.
    • Communicating with co-workers, parents, students, and others in a courteous and professional manner.
    • Oversees mail sorting and distribution as well as coordinating package delivery, copier supplies, and postage meter needs.
    • Maintain family/student contact data in Cambridge’s Student System & Emergency Notification System.
    • Assist with occasional point-of-sale transactions, such as lunch purchases, donations, fee payments, etc.
    • Oversees lunch delivery and distribution from our hot lunch vendors.
    • Maintains lost and found; facilitating student/family retrieval.
    • Maintains log of student prescription medications, disposing of expired items, replenishing as needed, administering first aid from CINTAS cabinet, and logging medications dispensed.
    • Maintains office supplies and purchasing with the Business and Facilities Manager.
    • Assists with other administrative duties, as assigned.

    Minimum Educational Background: High-School Diploma or GED

    Previous Related Experience: Previous reception, cash-handling, Blackbaud Systems, and RAPTOR experience preferred, but not required.

    • Commitment to regular attendance and shift scheduling, if needed.

    • Agreement with the CSD Doctrinal Statement and School Mission and Vision.
    • This position is shared with a second part-time receptionist. $19/hour, with the potential for increase upon performance review.

    Working Conditions:

    • This position is shared with a second part-time receptionist. $19/hour, with the potential for increase upon performance review.

    • Seeking fulfillment of shift from 1:00PM to 5:00PM, with the potential for extended shifts for events.

    • Activities include walking, standing, bending, kneeling, lifting, finger dexterity, grasping, repetitive motions, talking, hearing and visual acuity. The work is performed primarily indoors.

    • Working predominately at a desk and computer for extended periods of time.
