    Job Summary

    We are seeking an experienced Front Desk Supervisor to join our team! This position will work the front desk of the Birmingham location and will oversee daily operations, ensuring smooth patient flow, efficient administrative tasks, financial oversight, and excellent customer service. This position works with the Office Coordinator/Biller to assist with patient billing questions, process all forms required for insurance billing purposes, manage the eligibility process, educate staff on payers, coordinate front desk staff schedules, and collect all necessary patient documentation. The ideal candidate has excellent attention to detail, strong customer service skills, and is comfortable spending much of the day on the phone.

    Responsibilities

    Verifying batches balance

    Managing petty cash

    Financial oversight of point of service collections (POS)

    Manage inventory retained in the front office

    Training front desk new hires, multi-location

    Train staff on payer requirements

    Assist patients in navigating the billing and insurance landscape, including collecting all necessary forms and signatures

    Work with doctor’s offices and hospitals to obtain prior authorizations and referrals.

    Enter all billing and payment information into the system properly and without errors

    Answer phones, assist patients with questions

    Maintains the highest level of confidentiality

    Travel could be required to the Jasper location on occasion

    Qualifications

    Strong customer service skills

    Previous experience with medical coding or billing desired

    Strong leadership and organization skills

    Excellent attention to detail

    1+ year in dermatology a PLUS

    2+ years in a supervisor role
