Educational Requirements: High school diploma or GED, Associate's degree in business administration or similar concentration a plus. Additional Requirements: Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, including active listening and telephone skills
Organization: Excellent organizational and time management skills to manage multiple tasks
Attention to detail: To schedule patients correctly and communicate scheduling issues with Physician
Interpersonal skills: To interact positively with patients who may be upset or stressed and may need help
Technical skills: To use word processing programs to track data, and to be comfortable with office equipment like fax machines and printers
Knowledge: Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records, billing and insurance information, and medical database use
