Responsibilities: • Direct and oversee the selection, hiring, scheduling, and training of qualified employees • Conduct effective department meetings and counseling sessions • Conduct timely performance and salary reviews • Monitor service and teamwork on a regular basis • Resolve problems, provide open communications, and recommend discipline and termination, as appropriate • Achieve guest satisfaction goals by supervising the Front Office operation • Oversee and participate in the prompt and courteous check-in and check-out of guests • Check daily for VIP rooms and special accommodation requests • Respond to guest complaints in a courteous and effective manner • Attend pre-convention and post-convention meetings as needed • Coordinate group arrivals and departures • Maintain room security by providing effective key control • Oversee mail and message delivery • Respond to positive and negative comments expressed in comment cards and develop strategies to improve guest services • Must have a flexible schedule • Required to work from 40-50 hours per week or maybe more depending on business demands. Weekends required Qualifications: • Prior Marriott experience preferred • Great personality and strong managing skills • Prior front desk supervisor/management experience
