Membership and Sales Experience Specialist
Are you passionate about health and fitness? Do you enjoy helping others achieve their fitness goals and creating lasting relationships? We’re looking for a Membership Coach to join our dynamic team and be the face of our gym—helping members and guests experience the very best in health and fitness.
As a Membership Coach, you’ll play a key role in building a positive, welcoming environment for members, ensuring their needs are met, and contributing to the growth of our community. This position requires someone who thrives in and contributes to a positive environment, has a passion for fitness, and excels in customer service and sales.
What You'll Do:
Membership Sales & Tours
Sell memberships by connecting with those who walk through our door and having genuine interest in their goals and how we can help them with our offerings
Explain and enforce gym policies and membership agreements clearly and confidently
Overcome objections and effectively communicate the benefits of joining our gym
Conduct tours of the facility with prospective members, asking thoughtful questions to understand their needs and showcasing how our gym can help them achieve their goals
Facility Cleanliness & Maintenance
Maintain the highest standard of cleanliness and hygiene in the gym
Regularly clean and disinfect equipment, floors, bathrooms, and common areas to ensure a safe, welcoming environment for everyone
Keep equipment well-organized and in working order
Engagement & Member Relations
Build lasting relationships with members by creating a positive, supportive environment
Greet every member by name, make every interaction a positive experience, and ensure members feel valued
Support member retention by helping members navigate our services, technology, and initiatives to get the most out of their membership
Social Media & Marketing
Curate engaging content for our social media pages to keep members informed, excited, and motivated
Promote membership, retail, and training sales through online engagement
Collaborate with the Manager on community and member engagement events
Follow-ups & Membership Support
Reach out to current members with personalized messages to recognize their achievements or invite them back to the gym
Contact leads, schedule tours, and discuss membership options to turn prospects into new members
Assist members with account-related questions (billing, payments, membership freezes, etc.)
Retail & Supplements Sales
Be knowledgeable about our retail products and supplements to confidently assist members with product questions and sales
What We’re Looking For:
A passion for fitness and helping others achieve their goals
Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport and trust
Self-motivated, positive, and energetic with a strong work ethic
A friendly, team-oriented attitude and the ability to work well with others
Experience in sales or customer service (preferred but not required)
Ability to multitask, manage time effectively, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with social media platforms and basic marketing (preferred but not required)
