    ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Responsible for reconciling all line item credits, for patients and insurance credits, by moving money, correcting write offs, adding write offs, preparing refund material and posting refunds
    • Use of various software programs such as electronic medical records (EMR) system NextGen, Refund Manager, Availity, and Blue E to pull explanation of benefits and other back up documentation
    • Working high priority credit tasks
    • Process insurance refund requests and phone requests
    • Work patient credits
    • Process insurance overpays, billing corrections and making phone calls relating to coordination of benefits
    • Export refund batches for the accounting department in order to create refund checks with Refund Manager
    • Import refund check numbers via Refund Manager, match and mail out

    OTHER DUTIES:

    QUALIFICATIONS

    REQUIRED:

    • HS Diploma or equivalency

    PREFERRED:
