Frontline Recruiter (Bilingual English/Spanish) – Commercial Landscaping

Granite Hills Group (GHG) is the newly named landscaping company formed in 2021 by the merger of several family-owned landscaping companies based in Charlotte, NC, Raleigh-Durham, NC and Spartanburg, SC. This partnership is the platform from which GHG will become the dominant commercial landscape company in the Carolinas while retaining the culture of a family-owned business. Each branch has a landscape construction division and maintenance division and as such provides turnkey landscaping services from project groundbreaking through ongoing maintenance
Position Summary:
The Frontline Recruiter is responsible for sourcing, attracting, and onboarding qualified candidates for our hourly field positions, including crew members, maintenance technicians, and other landscape professionals. In this hands-on role, you will work closely with branch management to develop innovative recruiting strategies, represent our brand at local events, and maintain a robust candidate pipeline. Your efforts will directly impact our operational efficiency and long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities:
High-Volume Sourcing: Leverage diverse recruiting methods—job boards (Indeed, LinkedIn), community networks, trade schools, and social media—to identify, attract, and engage hourly landscaping candidates.
Creative Recruitment Marketing: Develop compelling job ads, flyers, brochures, and digital materials to highlight our company culture, career growth opportunities, and employee benefits.
Talent Pipeline Management: Build and nurture relationships with local schools, community organizations, and referral sources to maintain a steady flow of prospective crew members.
**Candidate Screening & **Selection: Conduct initial interviews in English and/or Spanish and provide qualified candidates to branch managers for hiring consideration. Use the applicant tracking system (ATS) to manage candidate information and hiring decisions.
Onboarding & Retention: Coordinate the initial onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the company. Conduct exit interviews to gain insights into employee retention and inform future recruitment strategies.
Collaboration with Management: Partner with branch managers, the VP of HR, and other stakeholders to anticipate staffing needs, address worker shortages proactively, and align hiring efforts with business goals.
Employer Branding & Community Outreach: Represent the company at job fairs, school visits, and community events, showcasing our brand's values, professional development opportunities, and supportive team environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education & Language: High school diploma or equivalent. Must be fully bilingual in English and Spanish, with strong reading and writing skills in both languages.
Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of building trust and rapport with candidates, hiring managers, and external partners.
Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with ATS platforms.
Organizational Excellence: Detail-oriented, able to multitask, prioritize effectively, and maintain accurate recruitment records.
Driver ' s License: Valid driver's license required.
Self-Motivation: Able to work independently, adapt to changing priorities, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Experience:
Industry Knowledge: Prior experience recruiting in landscaping, construction, facilities, or similar service industries.
Community Partnerships: Proven ability to establish and maintain relationships with community-based organizations, schools, and referral networks.
Flexible Schedule: Willingness to work evenings and weekends for recruiting events.
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary Pay Range: $45,000 to $65,000 commensurate with experience
