    Job Description

     

    A West Los Angeles general contractor of new construction and remodeling projects has a new, full-time opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk. We are seeking a professional team-oriented individual to assist us with our expanding workload.   

    REQUIREMENTS

    4 year degree in Accounting, Finance or other relevant degree required.

    Access to car for occasional local errands

    Some proficiency and experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

    Applicant will be subjected to a background evaluation prior to permanent placement

    Preferred but not required

    ·         1-2 years of payables experience

    ·         1-2 years of experience in the construction industry

    ·         Experience using Procore, Sage 300 CRE, Textura, or Quickbooks

     

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Accounts Payable

    ·         Collect & process all incoming invoices

    ·         Work with Project Accountant, field staff and vendor to meet appropriate billing requirements.

    ·         Track billing retention

    ·         Address billing issues with vendors, as needed.

    ·         Assist, as needed, with obtaining and tracking lien documentation

    ·         Assist, as needed, with obtaining and tracking vendor insurance documentation

    ·         Print checks

    ·         Possible bookkeeping assistance to the company Remodel Dept.

    ·         Processing of company credit cards and material purchases

    Accounts Receivable

    ·         Assist Project Accountant with processing all draw packages (billings)   

    Other 

    ·         Occasional local driving trips needed.

    ·         Other duties as assigned

    ·         Conduct all activities in a safe manner.

    Working Conditions and Physical Demands:

    ·         Overtime hours may be required to fulfill job responsibilities.

    ·         May require a valid driver's license

    ·         May be required to be physically capable of various tasks consistent with a construction office environment.

    ·         May be required to stoop, bend, or sit for extended periods of time.

    ·         Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other devices.
