    An established and growing player in the bulk fuel and c-store business is seeking a Wholesale Fuel - Business Development Manager to grow sales and build a sales team around them. The primary focus of this role is increased wholesale fuel volume from new business acquisitions, achieved through sustained industry partnerships and strategic market positioning. The right candidate can expect a competitive salary in the $100k-$160k range with full benefits and the opportunity for performance based incentives as well.

    Essential Functions:

    1. Analyze market data to identify potential client organizations and develop targeted sales strategies
    2. Prospect and secure wholesale fuel contracts through industry networking and physical location visits
    3. Conduct comprehensive research to understand market trends, competitive landscape, and client needs
    4. Cultivate positive relationships with current and prospective clients through in-person, telephone, and internet correspondence
    5. Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of potential clients
    6. Negotiate and execute supply contract terms to fulfillment
    7. Coordinate site branding and wholesaler conversions with new and existing clients
    8. Collaborate with Operations and Marketing to maintain site-level brand standards and enforce contract compliance
    9. Identify fleet sales opportunities and sell programs to business operators
    10. Continually engage with industry stakeholders and peers to promote programs and enhance brand visibility
    11. Manage company P&L statements of wholesale fuel clients

    Minimum Qualifications:

    1. 18+ years of age
    2. High School Diploma or equivalent
    3. Valid Driver License, clean driving record, and reliable transportation; ability to drive independently
    4. 3+ years of experience in a professional sales role
      1. Experience researching and analyzing sales leads
        1. Flexible availability to accommodate consecutive days of regional travel
      2. Proficient in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and electronic communication
      3. Fundamental knowledge of P&L management and financial analysis disciplines
        1. Receptive to learning new applications and technology
        2. Must pass a pre-hire drug screen, background, and MVR
        3. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in a related field
        4. Preferred: marketing experience in wholesale fuels or the energy industry
